Biography

THE TZAR MUSIC™ was created and founded in late 2008 as a mini recording studio. Under the leadership of Gauta Lenake, he decided to take matters into his own hands instead of waiting for a "professional contract" and formed his own label. In 2009, producer Smug (krosfaderz) was signed as the first artist and released his debut EP titled Mindworx. To support early operations, the label licensed repertoire from up and coming artists but eventually started building its own artist roster. Between 2009 and 2013, the little known label managed to release and distribute successful projects independently with very little promotion and no affiliation to any 'big labels'. Tweet
